The setting up of the Fun Fair is weather dependent, but is usually up and running by the Thursday or Friday before the Bank Holiday weekend and runs until the end of the Festival on Monday. It generally runs from around 5.30pm on the Friday or 11am at the weekend until about 8pm, but it varies. As with other fun fairs, you have to pay for the rides etc. you use.
(Note: the fair is not run by the Scarecrow volunteers)

Yes, during the week you can park in the village or at Bridge House Tearooms. At the weekend and on Fair day, there is dedicated disabled parking signposted at the front of the main car park on Hornby Road. Wheelchair users can use Home Farm Close as a drop off area. Ask a car park attendant when you arrive. Some areas are not wheelchair friendly - check out our map for details (map).
There is an accessible toilet at Wray Institute and two accessible portaloos in the village, usually located at the Flood Gardens and on Fair Field.
There is level or ramp access to the tearooms, pub and village shop.
Seating is available at Wray Village Store, the Institute, the George & Dragon, The Tea Rooms, and the church. Benches are located outside the Institute, the Tea Rooms, in the church yard, at the allotments, on the brow of 'spout' path and at the Flood Gardens.
Please note that in some areas of the village there are narrow or no pavements and cobbles instead of pavement.
For a quieter visit to the village, we recommend coming during the week and avoiding weekends.
